Andalusia Historic House, Gardens & Arboretum is hosting its inaugural Family Fun Day on Saturday, Sept. 14. The event will be filled with activities for the entire family, including storytime, craft projects, a scavenger hunt and craft beers.
During Family Fun Day, Andalusia will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the various activities, or simply relax in the gardens or by the banks of the Delaware River. Picnicking is encouraged.
Admission to the gardens is $15 for adults, free for children 12 and under. Visitors can also take a one-hour guided tour of the Historic House for an additional $15.
Tickets can be purchased at andalusiapa.org. Andalusia is located at 1237 State Road in Bensalem.
The lineup of activities for the day includes:
- Children’s Storytime: At 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., there will be stories inspired by Andalusia’s botanical and natural wonders. Led by a children’s librarian from the Bucks County Free Library, these storytimes promise giggles, wonder and a dash of garden magic.
- Craft Beers: Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company will be selling craft beers for adults to enjoy during their stay.
- Crafts and Scavenger Hunt: There will be free nature-themed crafts available all day, as well as a scavenger hunt with prizes.
- House Tours: One-hour guided tours of the Historic House are at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
